About our Adley Rutschman news

Latest news on Adley Rutschman, an American professional baseball catcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Oregon State Beavers and was named the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year in 2019. Adley Rutschman was selected by Baltimore Orioles with the first overall selection in the 2019 MLB Draft and signed for $8.1 million, the highest signing bonus at the time. Rutschman made his MLB debut in 2022 and was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game in 2021.

Rutschman is a switch hitter, meaning he can bat from both sides of the plate. He displayed his power from both sides in the Home Run Derby in 2023, hitting a combined 27 homers in his first-round matchup, but losing to Luis Robert Jr. of the White Sox. Rutschman had his dad Randy Rutschman as his pitcher for the event.
