Latest news on Sievierodonetsk, a city located in the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine that has been the site of heavy fighting between Ukrainian forces and Russian attackers, during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. By 25 June 2022, the city was completely captured by Russia's troops. As of the 2001 Ukrainian census, the city had a population of 202,700. The city serves as the administrative centre of the Severodonetsk Raion, and is sometimes spelled Sieverodonetsk and Severodonetsk.
