Latest news on Tricia Cotham, an American politician and a former schoolteacher. She is a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives from the 112th district, based in Mecklenburg County. She was first elected to the House in 2007 as a Democrat, and served until 2017. She ran again successfully for the House in 2022 as a Democrat, but switched to the Republican Party in April 2023, giving the Republicans a veto-proof majority in both chambers of the legislature.
