Latest news on Threads, a new app from Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, that aims to compete with Twitter as a platform for text-based conversations. The app is developed under the Instagram brand and allows users to share text, photos, and videos, much like Twitter does.
The launch of Threads comes at a time when Twitter is facing user dissatisfaction due to newly implemented restrictions on tweet views, rate limits, and monetisation. Twitter also blocked unregistered users from seeing tweets and made its Tweetdeck product accessible only to paying users.
