About our Fallout news

Latest news on the Fallout franchise, with coverage on games, spin-offs, TV shows, merchandise and more on the popular series set in the post-apocalyptic Wasteland.

Renowned for its role-playing video games, Fallout places the player in an alternate future timeline following a devastating nuclear war, in which they must face a world struggling to survive amidst radiation, mutated creatures, and societal collapse. Notable features of the Fallout franchise include its iconic Vaults, underground shelters constructed by the Vault-Tec Corporation to protect select citizens from the nuclear apocalypse, and the Pip-Boy, serving as the player's personal computer, inventory manager, mapping system, and more.

Developed initially by Interplay Entertainment and later by Bethesda Game Studios, the series includes mainline games such as Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, as well as spin-off media, such as the free-to-play construction simulation game, Fallout Shelter, and the franchise's first multiplayer game, Fallout 76. As of 2024, Fallout has also ventured into live-action with its Amazon Prime exclusive television series, simply titled Fallout. The series received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising its writing, design, and performances from its main stars, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins.
