    Latest news on ARM, a British multinational semiconductor and software design company, owned by SoftBank Group. Its primary business is in the design of ARM processors (CPUs), although it also designs other chips, including graphics processors (GPUs), and systems on chips (SoCs).

    ARM was founded in November 1990 as Advanced RISC Machines Ltd. The company was started with backing from Acorn Computers, VLSI Technology, and Apple Inc. The first ARM-based product was the Acorn RISC Machine card for the Acorn Archimedes computer.

    As of 2022, ARM is the world's largest semiconductor IP company. The company is headquartered in Cambridge, United Kingdom, with offices in the United States, China, India, and Taiwan.
