    Latest news on Enceladus, a small, icy moon of Saturn. Its surface is covered with craters, and it has a very thin atmosphere. Although it is small, Enceladus is one of the most interesting moons in the solar system because it has an active geyser-like feature that sprays water vapor and ice particles into space. This activity is evidence that there is a liquid water ocean beneath the moon's surface.

    Enceladus is also thought to be the source of Saturn's E ring. The E ring is made up of ice particles that are thought to be created when water vapor from the geysers on Enceladus freezes and falls back onto the surface of the moon.

    The Cassini spacecraft has made several flybys of Enceladus, and in 2005, it discovered that the geysers on the moon's south pole are the source of the E ring. The spacecraft also found that the geysers are powered by a liquid water ocean beneath the moon's surface.

    Enceladus is one of the most promising places in the solar system to look for signs of life. Future missions to the moon will focus on searching for evidence of life in the liquid water ocean beneath its surface.
