The court normally sits in its main hearing room in the East Wing of the Wisconsin State Capitol building in Madison, Wisconsin, but it also travels to other parts of the state as part of its "Justice on Wheels" program. The chief justice of the court is elected for a term of two years by the vote of a majority of the justices then serving on the court.
