The Marshall Islands, officially known as the Republic of the Marshall Islands, is an island country near Guam in the Pacific Ocean, slightly west of the International Date Line. Its population is spread out over five main islands and 29 coral atolls, comprising of 1,156 individual islands and islets. The country has the largest portion of its territory composed of water of any sovereign state, at around 97.87%. The Marshall Islands' capital and largest country is Majuro.
A significant portion of the Marshall Islands' economy relies on fishing and agriculture with fishing, particularly tuna processing, playing a crucial role in supporting the country's food security and export revenues. Additionally, copra (dried coconut meat) production plays a key tole in the country's agricultural sector.
