    About our Quadrantids news

Latest news on the Quadrantids, a meteor shower that occurs annually in early January, typically peaking around 3-4 January. The meteor shower is named after the now-defunct constellation Quadrans Muralis, which was located between the constellations Bootes and Draco.

The Quadrantids are known for producing a relatively high number of meteors, with rates that can reach up to 100 meteors per hour under ideal viewing conditions. The meteors are fast-moving and often bright, with some leaving persistent trails in the sky.

The Quadrantids can be observed from locations in the Northern Hemisphere, although they are typically best viewed from mid-northern latitudes.
