Molly Ticehurst, a 28-year-old childcare worker from Forbes, NSW, was found dead in her home on Monday, 23 April 2024. Her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Billings, 29, from Dalby, Queensland, has been charged with her murder, as well as breaching an apprehended violence order and failing to comply with bail conditions.
At the time of the alleged murder, Billings was on bail for earlier charges against Ticehurst, including three counts of sexual intercourse without consent, four counts of stalking and intimidation, property destruction, and aggravated animal cruelty. During a brief mention in Orange Local Court on Tuesday, Billings did not apply for bail and it was refused. The magistrate also revoked bail for the earlier charges, for which Billings had not entered pleas.
